Yahoo! and Google's new fight on Firefox

Last November, CEO of Yahoo! Marissa Mayer announces the official launch of Mozilla's Firefox search engine in the United States. This shows that Mozilla's goal is quite clear when Google Chrome browser is the opponent of Firefox. Therefore, Mozilla has worked with a more flexible search engine without having to compete with its own products. Prior to 2004, Google was Firefox's default search engine.
And obviously, Google will have to find ways to regain market share on Firefox. As of November, the search giant has repeatedly displayed a "Do you want to make Google your primary search engine?" or "Do you want to make Google your homepage?" when users visit Google.com using Firefox and you can say "Yes" or "No, thanks".

On Wednesday, Google posted a tweet with a video tutorial installing Google as the main search engine: "This is for all Firefox fans who love Google." In November, analyst Jan Dawson expressed the view that many Firefox users are not interested in changing their search settings from Yahoo !. "Google needs to be concerned about this," Dawson said. "This means a significant shift in Google's market share for Yahoo !." And that change has started.
The US ranked the search engine for December, showing Yahoo! grew 1.6% and Google fell 1.6%. Google still dominates 65% of search market share, compared with Yahoo !. of 11.8%. But Google still wants to be sure that they still retain that dominance.
With a great deal of search market share, Google is certainly not at risk of losing its dominant position. But with advertisers they will try to determine where to spend their advertising dollars on search engines, which would cause Google to lose a large number of its customers if Mozilla chose Yahoo.
